Industrial and Academic Experience:

1996 - Pres.   Director of Undergraduate Innovation, Office of Dean of Engineering, NJIT.

Develops new courseware, coordinates faculty, advises students, participates in grant proposals. Administers the Freshmen Design program and Engineering Graphics courses. Participant in Gateway Engineering Education Coalition. Teaches courses in the Mechanical Engineering curriculum.

1986-1996     Director of Engineering Graphics, M.E. Dept., NJIT.

Develops graphics and CAD courses, implements rapid-prototype manufacturing, coordinates faculty to teach. Also, teaches courses in Kinematics, System Dynamics, Machine Design, Thermodynamics, Heat Transfer, Engineering Graphics and others. Faculty advisor for Cooperative Education and the Mechanical Engineering Honor Society, Pi Tau Sigma.

Research and Development ( 4/79 - 11/80 ).
Responsible for product line development, new technologies and design ideas in new market areas. Emphasis on development of product line, manufacturing processes, and business plans. Technical interface with the Engineering Department. Produced instruction manual for Under Carpet Wiring System and specifications for product components in the flat cable system.

Production Engineering ( 6/78 - 4/79 ).
Trouble shooter for production problems encompassing the entire production line of Thomas & Betts. Also, product qualification for Underwriters Laboratories, cost reduction of current product line, updating process specifications, and evaluation of lab tests.

1974 - 1978     Graduate Student for Master's Degree, NJIT.

Master's Thesis: An Investigation of Occupational Hand-Arm Vibration, 1978. All graduate studies funded by teaching fellowships and research assistantships.

1971 - 1974     Outside Plant Assistant Engineer, NJ Bell Telephone Co.

Engaged in outside plant construction of telephone facilities for aerial, underground and buried plant inclusive of cable, poles, terminal boxes, conduit, manholes. Prepared construction budgets, short and long term plans, scheduled construction man-hours, coordinated construction hours and engineering projects.
