Two-Tesla Magnet Set-Up at X11A

The custom designed permanent magnet system  has a field which can be varied from 0 to 1.89 T in magnitude.

The direction of the field can be rotated by 360 degrees  in the horizontal plane.  Samples are run in transmission mode over

the temperature range 77 K to 300 K (with liquid nitrogen) or  ~2 K to300 K (with liquid helium).
