Changes in either the pH or pE of a natural body of water will have various effects on the biota and the overall condition of the lake or river. Give examples of such situations, including a discussion of the chemistry involved in the changes. Look at the extended consequences where possible. As usual, comment on the postings, adding to their completeness.
